Laurent Prim is a filmmaker and editor based in Luxembourg.
While in Scotland Laurent Prim studied English Literature and Film Studies, which led to the decision to pursue a career in filmmaking. In his final year, Laurent was awarded the Guy Hamilton Prize for his dissertation ‘Don’t worry it’s not a threat to you’ and its accompanying video essay ‘Showtime’. Upon his return to Luxembourg, he started work in the local film industry. He worked his way up from trainee assistant director to director and editor in live production and animation.
His first short film 'Morgue' was screened at festivals like Luxembourg Film Festival, San Antonio Film Festival and A Long Week of Short Films Festival Shanghai.
Laurent was awarded 'Best Director' for Morgue at the San Antonio Film Festival and was nominated at the Luxembourg Film Awards in the category 'Best Fictional Short Film'
